Meet Amanda
Since her early childhood years, Amanda Jones has been a proud Comal resident and is a Smithson Valley graduate. She attended the University of Texas at Austin where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition and has successfully worked in the pediatric medical nutrition industry for almost 15 years. Amanda has been married to her college sweetheart, Logan Jones, for 16 years and together they have three beautiful girls in the Pieper feeder pattern.
Amanda has a heart and passion for volunteering in the Comal ISD community. She was elected to be your Comal ISD SMD 6 Board Trustee in 2022 and was selected by fellow board members to serve as the School Board Treasurer for the past two years. She is invested in the path of growing greatness for our district. During the past three years, Amanda Jones and the Board of Trustees hired and continue to evaluate our current superintendent. They have created and adopted a new vision, mission, motto, and goals for Comal ISD while monitoring the success of the district. The board continues to review and adopt policies for effectiveness, remain fiscally responsible with tax-payer dollars, and continue to be an advocate and communicate with the community.
Along with these responsibilities, Amanda has also including taking the time on different committees as the trustee with Comal Education Foundation, Comal ISD Council of PTA, the Auditing Committee, and School Health Advisory Council. Amanda also does routine walks with the Superintendent and cabinet members to get a close look at our schools and our communities. Currently, she is focused on advocating for public education at the state legislative level.
For this election and for Comal:
1. CONSISTENCY with the board is key.
2. COMMUNITY involvement is necessary.
3. COMMITMENT is vital and shown.
In her free time, she enjoys being a soccer and cheer mom, crafting, football in the fall, and touring different restaurants around the city. They are members of Community Bible Church and love spending time with family, going to Comal events across the district, and travel to different places together. It is an honor to raise the girls in the values and the morals Comal has and can't wait to continue the work.
Re-Elect Jones on May 3rd. It's for the kids and for our community.
